Kelly E. Carter is a seasoned marketing and communications strategist with more than three decades of experience shaping narratives across journalism, wine, travel, and luxury lifestyle brands. Based in Napa Valley, she brings deep expertise in brand storytelling, public relations, and audience engagement.

After a distinguished career in media, including USA Today, People and CNN/SI, Kelly transitioned into the wine industry, spending seven years leading communications and supporting marketing and philanthropic initiatives at Alpha Omega winery in Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation. She has held leadership roles within Napa Valley Vintners, including chair of the Public Relations Committee, was selected for the inaugural Napa Valley Vintners Leadership Program, and has contributed to Wine Institute’s marketing and communications committee.

A New York Times bestselling author and WSET Level 3 award holder, Kelly has traveled extensively through global wine regions, including Italy, France, Spain, and South Africa. She recently launched Napa Valley Noir, a luxury concierge service designed to reach an overlooked, diverse wine clientele, and proudly donates a portion of its proceeds to Wine Unify.
